Drying Teak wood is not new for the timber industry in Indonesia, especially the city of Jepara as teakwood handicraft-producing city. Various manual way (without Dry Kiln drying machine) has been used also applied.

At the time of our visit to a furniture factory teak, looks an interesting way at the factory in terms of accumulation of teakwood. It’s good we shared tentangkayu although readers may already exist that use the same method.


Factory yard leveled and covered with concrete or cement floors to reduce water evaporation from the soil as well as to accelerate the flow of rainwater into the gutter. Not visible on the roof and walls is the yard. Looks like it was meant for better evaporation.
